How important is doctrine to Jesus? Very! So important is right teaching to Jesus that He says anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in it does not have God. “Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work” (2 John 1:9-11).
Been looking at a few verses in the Bible. 2 Timothy 2:21 speaks of “vessels of honor”. Here is what it says… “Ifa man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and fit for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work” (emphasis mine). If we as Christians want to be used by God, we must purge, or cleanse, ourselves from “these”. If we don’t, we will be a “vessel for dishonor”. What is “these” referring to?Many people want to be used by God, set… Read More
Updated: Gnostic heresy…an interesting find in a study Bible leads to further clarification concerning the public ‘divinity’ of Christ discussion and Bethel Church (pastor is Bill Johnson). A link found!
Here is the photo of the Bible page referred to in a post from June 7th, 2013. Look at the study notes on the left side where it says, “Gnostic heretics of his day who said that Jesus was born only a man and remained so until his baptism.” Do you see any eery similarities with Bethel Church’s teaching on Christ’s divinity? This ministry does. How important it is to realize that the real Jesus was 100% man and 100% divine (the hypostatic union). The false Jesus’s are either 100% man… Read More

Good morning! Came across a very interesting blurb in a study Bible which pertains to Gnostic heresy. Opened the Bible and looked right at it! Looking forward to sharing it as it was eye opening and now some teachings coming out of Bethel Church are starting to make more sense (from a Gnostic viewpoint)! In the near future, a photo of this Bible page will be posted for your information. You will find it very interesting. Until then, here is a blurb to ponder: Johnson preaches this about Jesus: “He laid his divinity… Read More
Birds of a Feather Flock Together: Strange Manifestations in ‘Christian’ Circles – from God or not? Feathers in Church? Bill Johnson of Bethel Church, Redding California…(Christian Post Blog)
Source: http://blogs.christianpost.com/grace-under-fire/birds-of-a-feather-flock-together-10395/ “…for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness”? (2 Corinthians 6:14) In chapter 12 of When Heaven Invades Earth: A Practical Guide to a Life of Miracles, Bill Johnson, Senior Pastor of Bethel Church in Redding, California writes: I have seen the small gems that suddenly appeared in the people’s hands as they worshipped God. Since early in 1998, we have had feathers fall in our meetings. At first I thought birds were getting into our air conditioning ducts, but then they started falling in… Read More
From Bethel Church August 17, 2012 Hi there, Please check out the following link: http://www.ibethel.org/we-believe for information on what our church believes. Thanks! To Bethel ChurchAugust 27, 2012 I’m sorry but I didn’t see what your church believes in the hypstatic union of Christ. Was he always divine and human while on earth? (For example, The Jehovah’s Witnesses say Jesus was not human after his resurrection, only a spirit.) Also, what does your church believe about the Holy Spirit…like, is the Holy Spirit a “He” or an “it”. Most other churches list these types of things in their belief pages.Thanks. (No… Read More
