Just Another Day in Corinth: ‘Pastor’ David Devereaux Preaching on Homosexuals in Church and Clergy…False Teaching in the Church

Desert Spring United Methodist Church – Summerlin is not teaching according to sound doctrine, so please be careful.  I say this with love and sadness.  This is the same thing that happened at Corinth.  Remember, the Bible warns us: “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but… Read More

Calling a Christian a Pharisee

“The people they call pharisees are those Christians who talk of repentance, consecration, holiness, righteousness, getting right, sanctification, hating sin, and loving God. The people they call pharisees are those Christians who love God so much, they seek the truth from God’s word, even if it goes against the grain of our culture. The Pharisees hated Jesus. They told lies and did whatever else they could to make sure they would see Jesus die. That’s why it’s wrong to call people who love Jesus pharisees.” Related: http://www.radicallychristian.com/why-you-probably-need-to-stop-calling-people-pharisees *This ministry does not necessarily… Read More

Did the pharisees get rebuked because they obeyed Christ’s teaching or because they disregarded it? Obedience vs. legalism in churches today

“But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.” (Titus 2:1) Mark 7 is just one of those chapters in the Bible that is simply fascinating.  Jesus was (and is) so witty how He knew just what to say and how to say it.  When He answers questions with questions, it is totally mind-boggling (Matthew 21:24).  Jesus, being one with God, is truly and infinitely intelligent and knows just what to say to every single person given the situation.  He speaks with mercy and compassion to His sheep (and potential sheep)… Read More

False! Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa: Woman Teacher at CCCM, Direct Quotes…”Christians are never to be the judge of anyone”

There is a women teacher at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa whose husband also works there as a pastor. I have seen her speak over the congregation at a church, Calvary Chapel Green Valley, a few times at that location, as well as on their retreats. She is friends with Chuck Smith as she and her husband have known him for decades. I love and pray for her, and will gladly remove this from the internet if she repents of these teachings.  I am choosing to not reveal her name, even though it… Read More

What about the hypocrites? False grace and false love…

I am reminded of how God deals with sin in the church, and how He doesn’t take it lightly.  So often, these days, we hear ‘judge not’ and just tolerate and embrace continued wickedness in the church.  Peace at any cost; even the cost of purity.  This is so far from God’s heart.  The following is from Book of Acts, chapter five: “Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself,… Read More
