The following was written by David Backus Copyright The Free Believers Network 2011 I can usually spot them. It’s my job as I contribute my portion of the work to the Body of Christ. They are sometimes outcasts. Sometimes they are quiet and introverted. Other times they are more outspoken and abrasive. Either way, they are misunderstood. Usually, if they don’t want to be removed from their local church group, they conform, grudgingly and brood quietly. Many aren’t aware of why. Often they get accused of being unteachable or unsubmissive to authority… Read More
I am reading up on the Joel’s Army heresy. Here is an informational booklet I found by Jewel Grewe. The Bible points to a great end-time deception, but not a revival army of Christians (Matthew 24:10; 1 Timothy 4:1). http://www.discernment-ministries.org/JoelsArmy.pdf
I am not familiar with Real Life Ministries; however, I have found this message to be true. “Sozo healing” is not Biblical. It is a rather new practice invented by a lady named Dawna DaSilva from Bethel Church in Redding, California. Many religions perform healing rituals. This one (sozo) was never done by earlier Christians nor the disciples. Here are just a bunch of great quotes. Many of these have to do with discernment. Inspiring!! “When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest.” (unknown) “We all want progress, but if you’re on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.” (C. S. Lewis) “If you love Christ but little, you will hate error but little. If you… Read More
Amazing teaching in this podcast… What is a Discerning Christian by Pastor Chris Lawson of Spiritual Research Network. This is not sugar-coated nor watered down. You won’t find teaching like this at a Joel Osteen concert. Because…it is purely Biblical and doesn’t leave out what’s important. Enjoy!!
Spiritual myopia. What is it? At the eye doctor the other day, I was reminded of nearsightedness. That is why many people need glasses. They can see objects close up but not far away. The far away objects appear to them as a blur. Until, the glasses are put on. Then they can see the big picture. LIfe gets a whole lot clearer when this happens. Before becoming a Christian, we are all walking around without the precious light of Christ, not really knowing there is a different way. Jesus said He… Read More
