Gnostic heresy in churches today: a post from Bethel Sozo Research Group and a reminder of the upcoming ‘Holy Spirit Conference’ at International Church of Las Vegas (ICLV; Paul Goulet) in July 2013

The above is a new post from Bethel Sozo Research concerning Bethel Church (Redding, CA; Pastor Bill Johnson) and their public teaching about Christ’s lack of divinity.  This is the same church that International Church of Las Vegas (Pastor Paul Goulet) invites to their conferences to speak.

There is another upcoming “Holy Spirit” Conference this summer on July 28-31, 2013 featuring Bill Johnson from Bethel Church and Banning Liebscher from Jesus Culture (Banning is also from Bethel Church).

Please browse this site for further research conducted on these teachers and their modern teachings, and if you know anyone attending, please encourage them to be a “Berean” and research the roots/teachings of this movement if you care for them.

“Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

Have a blessed day today!

  1. I am uncomfortable with the Bethel model. But I do note that most criticism is coming from the more conservative anti charismatic/pentecostal section of the faith who are wary of healing and spiritual gifts.

    • Hi Lance! This ministry is not anti-spiritual gifts in any way, shape or form. I believe in all the spiritual gifts AND healing, and miracles. What I don’t believe in is cultic, false teaching. Those inspired writers who taught about spiritual gifts and healing in the Bible also disagreed with the false teachers and false prophets. Blessings to you. Thanks for your comment! Have a great day.
