The ‘pre-tribulation secret rapture’ exposed: The secret rapture is a new revelation and should be avoided

The rapture is a nonbiblical term used to describe the catching up of living believers into the clouds to meet the Lord in the air at the return of Christ, as described in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. Did you know that the Bible makes very clear that this event will be a loud event, not a secretive, quiet event or disappearance? The word rapture does not appear in the Bible. The secret pre-tribulation rapture theory is derived mainly from two verses in the Bible. The first one is from 1 Thessalonians 4:

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

The second verse is about a “twinkling of an eye” from 1 Corinthians 15:

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15:52

We can read about the “Last Trump”, the 7th Trumpet, in the book of Revelation! The angels have seven trumpets. Paul tells us that this event will happen at the last trumpet. All believers – dead and living – will be changed instantaneously, in a flash, in a “twinkling of an eye”. The verse explains that this will happen at the same exact event – same day. The seventh trumpet is Biblically when Christ comes to reign – not seven years before! The last trumpet is the seventh trumpet of Revelation, which will sound at the time Christ establishes the Kingdom of God on earth.

“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” Rev. 11:15

Here is the Scriptural sequence:

1. The Lord will come down from heaven with a trumpet call.
2. The dead in Christ will rise (resurrection of the dead).
3. Those in Christ who are still alive will be carried up together with the dead in Christ.
4. The dead and the living in Christ will meet Jesus Christ in the air.

Acts 3:21 makes it clear that Jesus must remain in heaven until it’s time to restore everything.
Jesus will restore everything when He establishes the Kingdom of God on earth.

Matthew 13:30 makes it clear we will all grow together until the “harvest”: “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” The Bible does not speak of a secret harvest, but one harvest at the end of the age on the last day.

Please read these verses in their context, and notice the second one. The Apostle Paul said very plainly that this “twinkling of an eye” will happen “at the last trump” – AND NOT A MOMENT BEFORE. Also, these verses, which pre-tribbers use to somehow invent a ‘secret pre-trib rapture’ seven years before the last trump (I also believed this for years because that is what pastors told me, and I never bothered to be a Berean and study for myself), actually say that the dead in Christ – SHALL RISE FIRST!

Meaning, to make the ‘pre-trib secret rapture theory’ truth instead of theory, we would have to see the dead coming out of their graves FIRST seven years prior to the “coming of the Lord” or the last trump – immediately before anyone is “raptured”.

The Bible says in several places we are to reject new revelations, and unsound doctrine, that oppose the Word (Romans 16:17; Titus 2:1; etc). The rapture lie has succeeded in causing much division in the Body of Christ in the last 200 years. It is simply unscriptural and based upon twisted scriptures (2 Pet. 3:16) and a man-made tradition which nullifies the Word of God. This is what the Pharisees did.

The rapture (i.e., the secret pre-trib rapture theory) is a doctrine of devils the Bible warns about (1 Timothy 4:1). The rapture theory is only approximately 200 years old, and was invented by a man named John N. Darby who invented ‘escapism’ for itching ears. The early church writers, such as Martin Luther, Augustine, Tertullian, and many others – believed that the whole church would go through the entire tribulation in the future.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say Christians will escape persecution or the wrath of the antichrist.

We will be protected from God’s wrath, not satan’s! What a big lie and clever ‘wind of doctrine’! The Bible does say that the servants of God will be sealed from God’s wrath (Rev. 7:3). Christians are never promised protection from satan’s hatred and persecution in this life. On the contrary, the Bible says that all who desire to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus WILL be persecuted (2 Tim. 3:12)!

Why does this matter? It does matter! The Bible explains that many will ‘fall away’ from the faith and brother will betray brother to death. People are going to be very angry at God when they are not rescued from the rule and reign of the antichrist. Thus, many will fall away. Few will be prepared. And, Jesus asks us to be prepared.

Some may say, God would never allow us to suffer under the Antichrist. Take a look at the Bible and we see just that in several places. The Bible says that the Antichrist will make war with the saints (Dan. 7:21; Rev. 13:7; etc.).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research on this. The Bible is true. Wake up! Do not be decieved. Remember Matthew 25 – the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins! Be ready!

Matthew 24

Revelation 13

Write down every verse that the pre-tribbers use to support their theory. Read in context the entire chapter, and you will see in each case, the chapters are speaking of the “Day of the Lord”, the “Last Trump”, and the “Coming of the Lord”!
